BLACK
This is a natural black tail hair color. There are a few sorrel hairs and a stray white hair mixed throughout. Just like your horse's black tail! Bays, blacks and brown horses will generally wear the natural black tail hair color.

JET BLACK EBONY
This is a true dyed black without any red or light colored hairs. True black horses may wear this color, as well as some bays, buckskins or paint horses. This is the color to choose if you have dyed your horse's black tail.

LIGHT SORREL
Light red shade just right for the bright sorrel tailed horses.

CINNAMON
A sorrel shade that is lighter then Sorrel, but not as bright as Light Sorrel. As the name implies - the color of a cinnamon stick. This color blends well up or down with tail hair in the sorrel shades.horse’s actual tail color. With sorrels, an absolute, perfect color match is not always necessary!

RED SORREL
This is a true basic red sorel, not too orange, not too chestnut. This color blends well up or down a shade with existing tail hair.

DARK SORREL
Deep mahogany color with plum over-tones, almost looks black in color. Good for some bays and deep chestnut horses.

BLACK BROWN
This is a very dark chocolate color - almost black, but still brown. This tail color works well with liver chestnut horses, or sorrel horses who have a very dark tail.

DARK MIXED
A very versatile color. Mainly brown tones with a mix of brown and some gray, flaxen and silver. This color works well with sorrel horses, chestnut horses, grey horses and buckskins.

LIGHT MIXED
A mixture of light sorrel and dark sorrel and red sorrel hairs . Mostly Light Sorrel hairs with dark sorrel and red sorrel mixed in.
Great for some light tailed horses.

FLAXEN SORREL
A mixture of sorrel and silver/flaxen tail hairs. Mostly light sorrel with a hint of flaxen. This shade works well with some sorrel horses and sorrel paint horses.

LIGHT FLAXEN SORREL
A mixture of light sorrel and silver/flaxen tail hairs. 50% flaxen and 50% sorrel hairs. This shade works well with light sorrel horses.

WHITE FLAXEN SORREL
A very light flaxen, close to Blonde in color. Mostly flaxen/silver hair with just a bit of light sorrel mixed in. 75% flaxen 50% sorrel.

RED FLAXEN
A mixture of approximately 60% sorrel tail hair and 40% silver/flaxen tail hairs. A good color for horses with a lot of sorrel hair with silver/flaxen tail hair mixed in.

LIGHT RED FLAXEN
A mixture of approximately 55% light sorrel tail hair and 40% silver/flaxen tail hairs. A good color for horses with a lot of silver/flaxen tail hair intermingled with light sorrel tail hair.

DARK FLAXEN SORREL
A mixture of dark sorrel and silver/flaxen tail hairs. This shade works well with chestnut horses, some dun horses and dark sorrel paint horses. It is also a good match for horses with dark flaxen tails.

LIGHT GREY
Light grey tail hair with mostly silver, grey and flaxen hair mixed in with some black. This color works well with light gray horses.

|
XL GREY
A very white tail hair with just a bit of grey blended throughout. This isa good match for the very light grey horse.

|
MEDIUM GREY
Dark gray tail hair with black hairs mixed in with some silver. This color works well with grey horses.

|
DARK GREY
Black tail hair with about 10-20% of silver hairs mixed throughout. An excellent color for very dark grey horses as well as some bays, paint and buckskin horses.

PALOMINO
A pale gold color with just a touch of darker yellow mixed throughout. This color works well with blonde tailed palominos.
|
|
CREAM WHITE
For palomino and some white/grey horses. This is a creamy white tail color, best for most palominos and some white grey horses.

|
SILVER WHITE
More silver then white. This is a good match for the white/grey horses with a white tail and some palominos will also wear this color.
